Job summary

Lanes Group PLC is seeking a Drainage Engineer in Croydon to deliver high-quality drainage and wastewater solutions on a Thames Water contract. You will join a two-person team, work outdoors in all weather, and operate high-pressure jetting equipment while maintaining safety and customer focus.

Full training is provided, with on-call rotations, PPE and site safety management. Prior experience with jetting and basic diagnostics is helpful, and qualifications such as NRSWA are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience with High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential.
• Ability to work safely outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Eligible for HGV driving in a two-person team.
• NRSWA or Confined Spaces qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites via HGV in a two-person team.
• Power a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean and maintain drainage systems.
• Record job reports on the equipment used.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
• Deliver good customer service.
• Maintain health and safety during works.
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
• Liaise with the client regarding progress.
• Work unsupervised in all weather with PPE and lone worker systems.
• Carry out risk assessments and inspections of tools/equipment.
