Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer in Croydon to join our Thames Water contract, traveling in a two-person team to operate high-pressure jetting and restore drainage systems. The role runs 40.25 hours over 4 on/off shifts.

Full training, PPE, and equipment are provided. You must hold a HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and a digi tachograph card. The job entails working 24/7 with an on‑call rota and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HGV Class 2 licence.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Digi tachograph card up to date.
• Experience with High Pressure Jetting is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites in a two-person team delivering high-pressure jetting for drainage restoration.
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems; run diagnostics on drains.
• Record job reports on equipment; provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain health and safety practices and PPE compliance; risk assessments as needed.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms; operate vacuum tankers and related equipment.
