Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Portareel Drainage Engineer to join our Thames Water contract team in Camberley, Surrey. You will work in a two-person crew, handling planned and reactive blockages while delivering strong customer service and maintaining safety standards on site.

We offer full training, 21 days holiday, pension, and a friendly, supportive environment. Flexible hours, on-call rota, and 50-hour weeks are part of the role, with on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• Hard working and respectful, commitment to health and safety standards.
• Experience with high pressure jetting is useful but not essential.
• Drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate a portareel with a two-person crew for planned and reactive blockages.
• Deliver excellent customer service on site.
• Maintain health and safety practices during works.
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
• Liaise with clients regarding progress and updates.
• Carry out inspections of tools and equipment.
• Adhere to PPE and safe site setup requirements.
