Royal Mail Shirley Delivery Office is recruiting a Post Person with Driving to join our flexible delivery team. You will drive a Royal Mail van around your area and deliver letters and parcels, with portions of the route completed on foot.

This role requires a full, manual UK driving licence (minimum points as stated) and the ability to walk thousands of steps daily; shifts vary and a driving assessment is part of the start process.

Formación

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsabilidades

• As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, with parts of the route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring items reach their destination safely.
• You'll securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
• This role is a vital service at the heart of every neighbourhood; you will work flexibly and take pride in your duties.
