Job summary

Royal Mail in Stockport is recruiting delivery and collection workers with driving responsibilities (under 3.5 tonne). This temporary role is 30 hours per week over 5 days, including Sundays, from 08:30 to 15:30, delivering mail and parcels in a local area.

You will start at the local delivery office, sort mail for your route, perform vehicle checks, then drive and walk parts of your round, using a handheld device for signatures and tracking outcomes.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels to houses and businesses within a set area.
• Start day at the local delivery office and sort mail for your route.
• Complete vehicle checks and then drive/partner with a colleague in a van.
• Use a handheld device to capture customer signatures on deliveries.
• Role combines driving and walking depending on route and vehicle availability.
