Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting Postal Collection & Delivery Workers (with driving) in support of local delivery operations. The role involves delivering mail and parcels by a mix of driving and foot travel, with Sunday shifts and 30 hours per week across five days.

Initial training covers vehicle checks and use of a handheld device for signatures. Candidates should enjoy working outdoors, be safety-conscious, and ideally have customer-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points preferred.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather.
• Able to deliver friendly, safe customer service.
• Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels within a set area.
• Start the day at the local delivery office sorting mail.
• Complete vehicle checks during initial training and share a van for rounds.
• Capture customer signatures on a hand-held device.
• Drive and walk as required on each route with shifts including Sundays.
