Job summary

Rossendale Borough Council is offering an Arborist Apprentice position in the Green Spaces Team. This is a 2-year apprenticeship leading to a Level 2 Arboriculture qualification, with practical outdoor work and college-based training.

You’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D/3, including Maths and English, or a Level 1 vocational qualification plus GCSE D/3 in Maths and English. Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths will also be accepted.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D/3, including Maths and English.
• Level 1 vocational qualification accepted with GCSE D/3 in Maths/English.
• Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths accepted.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on arboriculture experience as part of the Green Spaces Team.
• Complete Level 2 Arboriculture qualification through college-based training.
