Job summary

Deta Electrical, a market-leading wiring and electrical installation accessories manufacturer and distributor, seeks an experienced outbound warehouse leader in Chalton, Luton. You will own the end-to-end pick, pack and despatch operation for major retail DIY customers, ensuring orders are accurate, on time and in line with service levels.

You will coach and develop the outbound team, drive continuous improvement, and uphold safety and quality standards to maximise efficiency and KPI

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading outbound warehouse operations in high-volume retail environments.
• Strong track record coaching and developing operational teams in KPI-driven settings.
• Knowledge of WMS/ERP systems supporting order allocation, picking, packing, despatch and reporting.
• Understanding of outbound planning, carrier cut-off management and OTIF performance.
• Experience applying continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the outbound team to manage pick, pack and despatch to major retail DIY customers.
• Coordinate labour, workflow and priorities to hit daily volume, quality and service targets.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, labelling, palletisation and compliance with customer specs.
• Manage despatch, carrier handovers, and adherence to cut-off times.
• Provide visible leadership, coaching, and performance management of the outbound team.
• Maintain safe working environment and enforce safe systems of work.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including pick/pack productivity and OTIF.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across outbound processes.
