Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes in Dunstable is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations and develop a capable, hands-on team. You will take ownership of inbound and outbound processes, ensure accuracy in picking, packing and dispatch, and drive safety, productivity and continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires strong leadership, a thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading teams in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, goods-in and dispatch processes.
• Experience managing employee performance, attendance and productivity.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee Goods In and Dispatch operations, ensuring smooth workflow across both areas.
• Manage inbound deliveries, stock receipt, checking and put-away processes.
• Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor workloads and allocate resources effectively to achieve operational targets.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, attendance and health & safety compliance.
• Support employee performance management, training and development.
• Conduct team briefings, one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service levels.
• Work closely with internal departments and external delivery partners to ensure seamless operations.
• Support management with projects, stock takes and peak trading periods
