Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Outbound Team Leader for a high-volume ecommerce site in Derby. You will lead front-line teams to deliver picking, sorting, loading and dispatch on a Sunday-Thursday shift (1:45 pm–10:15 pm), ensuring on-time, accurate outcomes while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will report to the Outbound Shift Manager and drive day-to-day supervision, training, onboarding and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing or logistics environments.
• Experience leading operational teams.
• Exposure to outbound, picking, packing, sorting, or dispatch operations.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a calm, supportive leadership style.
• Basic WMS or scanning system experience.
• Exposure to lean or continuous improvement.
• Experience in ecommerce environments.
• Experience with high-volume or peak operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound associates across pick, sortation, loading and dispatch areas.
• Allocate tasks and manage workflow to maintain smooth outbound flow.
• Ensure outbound volumes are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching and direction to associates.
• Support onboarding and buddying of new starters.
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping and conduct issues.
• Support accurate system transactions and shift handovers.
• Identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement activities.
