Job summary

CEVA Logistics has an exciting opportunity for an Outbound Team Leader based at our Derby ecommerce site. You will lead front-line teams to ensure on‑time, accurate outbound execution, including picking, sorting, loading and dispatch while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, coach staff, onboard new starters and drive continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
• Experience leading and coaching operational teams.
• Exposure to outbound, picking, packing, sorting, or dispatch.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Calm, confident communicator with a supportive leadership style.
• Basic experience with WMS or scanning systems.
• Exposure to lean or continuous improvement approaches.
• Proven experience in high-volume or peak operations.
• Experience in an ecommerce environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound associates across pick, sortation, loading and dispatch.
• Allocate tasks and manage workflow to maintain smooth outbound flow.
• Ensure volumes are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
• Reinforce safety standards and quality checks during shifts.
• Escalate delays or risks to the Outbound Shift Manager.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching and direction.
• Support onboarding and buddying of new starters.
• Monitor attendance and timekeeping; address conduct issues.
• Support system transactions, paperwork and shift handovers.
• Identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement.
