Job summary

Holford Gas Storage in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join a highly skilled, on-site engineering team at a modern, automated site. You will support the Lead C&I Engineer and OT Security Engineer in delivering maintenance strategies, troubleshoot field instruments, and contribute to cyber-security risk mitigation.

The role requires a Level 3 technical apprenticeship or equivalent, with knowledge of DCS/PLC, OT security, and reading P&IDs; competitive

Qualifications

• Technical apprenticeship Level 3 or equivalent in cyber security, control or automation.
• Maintenance experience in control/instrumentation or industrial automation.
• Ability to read P&IDs, panels, logic diagrams and loop drawings.
• Understanding of OT security controls and IEC 62443 familiarity optional.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead C&I Engineer in delivering the site’s maintenance strategy.
• Support the OT Security Engineer with OT maintenance for cyber-security risk mitigation.
• Investigate and resolve issues affecting field instruments and control equipment.
• Carry out routine OT cyber-security maintenance including patching and antivirus updates.
• Prepare maintenance orders for on-site work and deliver defined packages.
• Support the operation and upkeep of OT security controls and infrastructure.
• Provide technical assistance during OT incidents and fault investigations.
