Circle Health Group in Harrogate is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join the Orthopaedic Scrub team. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) required.
• Experience or training in theatre environment specialising in scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control, manual handling and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility for theatre lists.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep, patient monitoring and airway management.
• Position patients and provide post-operative care; monitor vitals and pain control.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe lists.
