Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Registered Practitioner to join the Orthopaedic and Spinal Theatre Team at Chapel Allerton Hospital. You will deliver high quality perioperative care to patients undergoing orthopaedic and spinal procedures within a busy Elective Surgical Hub.

The role includes a comprehensive induction, preceptorship and ongoing learning opportunities, with support to develop clinical knowledge and leadership in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Level 1) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
• Current UK NMC registration (or final-year UK nursing student).
• Willing to undergo training as necessary.
• Ability to demonstrate and explain skills to other staff.
• Desirable: Recognised teaching/assessing qualification.
• Essential: Understanding of patient-centred care and current issues in health care.
• Desirable: Insight into the clinical speciality.

• Contribute to audit, quality improvement and service development activities.
