Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking a Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our theatre team, focusing on orthopaedics. You will provide planned perioperative care and work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment in a private hospital setting in Nottingham.

We are looking for HCPC/NMC registrations with scrub experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and care quality. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with no night shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered Nurse with no restrictions.
• Minimum 2 years scrub experience in Major Orthopaedics.
• Full-time 37.5 hours per week and strong communication skills.

The Role

• To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
• Assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet patient's health and wellbeing.
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
• Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
• Promotes best practice in health and safety and security.
• Assist in maintaining and developing services.
• Contribute to quality improvement.
• Promote people's equality, diversity and rights.
• Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
• Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

Who we're looking for

• HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered Nurse (no restrictions).
• Minimum 2 years scrub experience (Major Orthopaedics)
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible, positive attitude.
• Desirable: Surgical First Assist (SFA) qualification
• Full time 37.5 hours per week
