Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Perioperative Practitioner to join our theatre team in Nottingham. You will work as a Scrub Nurse or ODP, delivering high-quality perioperative care for a range of orthopaedic procedures in a private hospital setting.

The role requires HCPC/ NMC registration, at least 2 years of scrub experience in major orthopaedics, and strong teamwork and communication. Full-time 37.5 hours with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Main duties of the job

The Role

• To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
• Assess patients health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet patients health and wellbeing.
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
• Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
• Promotes best practice in health and safety and security.
• Assist in maintaining and developing services.
• Contribute to quality improvement.
• Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights
• Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
• Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
