Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Norwich is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Orthopaedic Team. This Band 4 post supports both elective and trauma in-patients, with opportunities for progression from Band 3-4 for the right candidate.

You will develop clinically, receive supervision and annual appraisal, and work within a busy OT service that focuses on patient-centred care and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

• BTec Certificate/Diploma or Foundation Degree in Health Studies (or equivalent).
• Significant experience as a Health Care (Support) Worker including some within Therapy Service.
• Working knowledge of IT e.g Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a delegated workload with clinical priorities and carry out tasks as autonomous practitioner.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and stock control duties.
• Assess and provide intervention for people to help them self-manage their long-term conditions.
• Provide advice and information to patients/carers on the use of aids and basic equipment.
