We're looking for an experienced Organisational Design & Development Advisor to join our Organisational Design & Development (OD&D) team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping the organisation evolve by designing effective structures, building organisational capability and supporting sustainable change.
As part of the enterprise authority for organisational design and development, you'll partner with senior leaders, Strategic People Partners and stakeholders across the business to diagnose complex organisational challenges and deliver evidence-based solutions that enhance performance, engagement and resilience.
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical delivery, using data, insight and strong consultancy skills to make a lasting impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide expert organisational design advice to leaders and Strategic People Partners, supporting diagnostics, role design, organisational structures and the assessment of people and business impacts.
- Design and deliver organisational development interventions that strengthen leadership capability, performance, culture and team effectiveness.
- Support strategic workforce planning activity through the analysis of workforce capability, skills and capacity, helping identify future organisational needs.
- Enable successful organisational change by advising on structural, behavioural and capability impacts and supporting leaders through complex transitions.
- Use data, insight and evidence-based practice to develop recommendations, evaluate outcomes and support informed decision-making.
- Partner with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality, consistent organisational design and development solutions aligned with strategic priorities.
- Ensure organisational design and development activities are delivered within established governance frameworks, policies and professional standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in organisational design, organisational development, HR consultancy or a comparable people-focused advisory role.
- Practical experience applying OD methodologies and interventions, including organisational diagnostics, role design, capability frameworks, culture initiatives or performance improvement programmes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insight into meaningful recommendations.
- Experience working closely with leaders and HR partners within complex, fast-paced or evolving organisations.
- Knowledge of organisational design and development principles, including operating models, workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, performance and culture.
- A structured consultancy approach, with experience in diagnosis, design, delivery and evaluation.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- An understanding of employment legislation, organisational risk and governance requirements, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- CIPD Level 5, Level 7 or equivalent HR/OD qualification, or demonstrable professional experience operating at an equivalent level.
- A commitment to continuous professional development within organisational design, organisational development and people practice.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to influence organisation-wide decisions, work on complex and meaningful programmes of change, and help shape an organisation that is capable, inclusive and future-ready. You'll join a collaborative team of specialists committed to delivering sustainable improvements in organisational performance, leadership effectiveness and employee experience.
If you're passionate about organisational effectiveness, people-centred change and helping organisations perform at their best, we'd love to hear from you
