Job description

The BIG Trade Counter is one of the largest trade counter brands and part of the larger GJB Group which for over 30 years has been manufacturing and delivering UPVC and aluminium windows and doors to our customers.

We are now looking for an Order Processing Manager to join our Team at the Reading branch. In this role, you will be producing quotes and processing orders in the Window Designer software. You will also be responsible for processing external orders to ensure smooth operations on site with sufficient stock levels. You will have fantastic communication skills as the first point of contact for our customers needing support with their quotes and orders. Reporting into the Head of Branch Development; as the Order Processing Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of UPVC and Aluminium products for manufacturing purposes. The main roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Processing of orders and quotes using Window Designer
• Creating codes for bespoke items
• Placing orders with external suppliers.
• Liaising with customers regarding quotes – following up and applying amendments.
• Making order amendments (where possible) in line with Customer requests
• Any other admin duties required to meet the needs of the business

Role Requirements:

• Knowledge of Window Designer required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience within the UPVC industry desirable
• Strong people and communication skills (Essential)
• The ability to work alone, and as part of a small team (Essential)

Overview

• Location: Reading RG2
• Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
• Type: Full-time, Permanent
