Job summary

Imperial College London is seeking a Solutions Architect for People & Finance to lead the architecture of Oracle Fusion-based systems underpinning payroll, finance and procurement services. This role sits in Architecture & Technology Operations and collaborates with product, platform teams and finance colleagues to design secure, scalable solutions in line with Imperial’s Digital Strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex enterprise solutions within large, diverse or federated organisations.
• Experience delivering or architecting solutions on Oracle Fusion (HCM and/or ERP/Financials) with configuration, extensions and integrations.
• Knowledge of people, payroll, finance and procurement business processes supported by ERP systems.
• Understanding of Oracle Fusion integration, extensibility and reporting (Oracle Integration Cloud, REST/SOAP, BI/analytics).
• Experience across the full product/platform lifecycle from discovery to live service and decommissioning.
• Strong grasp of modern architectures, including cloud, APIs, and secure-by-design with data protection and audit considerations.
• Ability to apply AI and data-driven technologies responsibly, balancing value, risk, ethics and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Oracle Fusion architecture and lead solution architecture for HCM and ERP/Financials.
• Design data flows between Oracle Fusion and wider Imperial applications with secure integrations.
• Lead development of architectures aligned to enterprise standards and strategy.
• Apply AI and automation to improve efficiency and user experience within policy.
• Lead governance through Technical Design Authority and architecture communities.
• Provide technical leadership to delivery teams, promoting modern engineering practices.
• Facilitate architectural decisions with stakeholders across People, Payroll, Finance and Procurement.
