Job summary

British Airways is seeking a strategic People Systems Solution Lead to own architecture and roadmaps for Oracle Fusion HCM within its People directorate. The role focuses on shaping and governing the HR technology landscape, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

You will collaborate across HR, Product, Cyber, Data, and suppliers to deliver impactful technology transformations and maximise the value of Oracle investments for a premier global airline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within HR, People Systems, HRIS or enterprise technology environments supporting business and technology transformation.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent understanding of system integrations, data flows, governance and the impact of change across interconnected systems.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM and wider HR technology platforms.
• Proven experience delivering Oracle HCM Cloud implementations within a consulting and complex enterprise environment.
• Experience shaping technology roadmaps, architecture decisions and solution governance within a cloud-based ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Act as the solution architecture authority for Oracle Fusion HCM and the wider People Technology landscape.
• Lead the design of scalable, secure and integrated technology solutions across all areas of the People function.
• Translate business requirements into sustainable technology solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
• Partner with Product Owners, HRIS teams and People stakeholders to shape technology roadmaps.
• Own and govern architecture across the People Technology ecosystem.
• Govern the introduction of new capabilities, ensuring alignment with standards and cyber requirements.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Tech Delivery, Data teams and suppliers.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to projects and partners.
• Drive continuous improvement across People Technology to reduce complexity and technical debt.
• Lead assessment of Oracle quarterly releases and align with roadmap and needs.
• Monitor Oracle product evolution and AI opportunities to maximise value.
