Job summary

Defence Business Services (DBS) is seeking a Functional Payroll Software Developer to design, develop and support Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll solutions for a large UK government payroll environment. You will work with payroll specialists, business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver statutory changes, pay awards and major transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, configuring or supporting software solutions within an enterprise application environment.
• Understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
• Understanding payroll processes and payroll legislation, or the ability to rapidly develop this knowledge.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
• Experience working in agile or structured delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll solutions.
• Configure payroll elements, balances and calculations in Oracle Cloud.
• Develop and maintain Fast Formula and related system functionality.
• Create secure, well-tested payroll solutions following standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver enhancements and legislative updates.
• Support live service operations and change programmes including pay awards.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues in test and production environments.
• Produce documentation to support supportability and knowledge sharing.
