A leading consulting firm is seeking a lead architect for Oracle Cloud implementations, focusing on PaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large scale Oracle PaaS projects, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of cloud-native architectural design. This role includes pre-sales support and collaboration with offshore teams. Candidates must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance, having resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
Oracle's aggressive Cloud strategy and growth means that several new PaaS capabilities are now available which are creating a breadth of new opportunities with our Clients to take their current IT Systems to the Digital & Cloud market. API Management, Cloud-based integration, Microservices and Modern Application Fram eworks all are at the heart of this digital transformation revolution and Oracle is investing heavily in making sure that their PaaS offerings covers such capabilities and more.
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
You will take a leading role on our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS components from across the Oracle portfolio in addition to incorporating open source technologies, cloud-native approaches (APIs, microservices, modern applications) and products from other cloud vendors where suitable and relevant. In addition, you will be expected to give direction and derive robust architecture designs to meet the needs of our customer's business requirements. The role may also encompass supporting pre-sales activities and the generation of go-to-market strategies across our UK business.
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
