Qualifications

Job description

Join Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) as a Full Time OR Core Technologist at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Position Schedule: Mon - Fri 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM + on-call and holiday rotation

Compensation: Competitive starting salary based on qualifications and experience. The range is $28.00/hr to $50.00/hr + shift differentials (12% - 50%).

Job Summary:

Proficiently operate all OR, Hybrid, and diagnostic radiology equipment. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic examinations, assist physicians, and follow safety and procedural policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform radiography studies following protocols and selecting correct exposure factors.
2. Assist in complex invasive procedures, maintaining sterile fields and producing images.
3. Practice radiation safety and maintain equipment in good order.
4. Prepare examinations for interpretation, manage data entry, and ensure quality standards.
5. Provide supervision and instruction to students as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA-approved radiology program.
• Registered with ARRT and CT state license.
• CPR certification and continuing education credits.

Preferred Experience:

• At least one year as a radiological technologist.
• Associates or AAS degree in related field.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of anatomy, diseases, and radiological principles.
• Effective communication, computer skills, and ability to react calmly in emergencies.

Additional Conditions:

May require weekend/holiday rotation, physical lifting, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
