Prospect Health is seeking a qualified Optometrist for a 24-hour-per-week role in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. The position offers salary in the range £49,400–£62,900 FTE, with strong CPD support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Optometrist - Part Time - 24 Hours per week

£49,400 - £62,900 Full Time Equivalent, depending on experience

We're currently recruiting for a qualified Optometrist to join a well-established and forward-thinking optical team in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

The Role

As an Optometrist, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the wider optical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive eye examinations and excellent patient care
• Screening and monitoring patients
• Supporting the delivery of extended eye care services
• Maintaining high clinical and operational standards
• Coaching and supporting the wider optical team
• Contributing to the development of new and enhanced patient services
• Working closely with the Optical Manager and wider department team

You’ll receive comprehensive professional development and training, including a strong CPD programme and protected time to complete additional accreditations, where required. Relevant training and accreditation are fully funded and supported.

You’ll also have access to in-store, regional and central support teams, ensuring expert guidance is available for both clinical and service-related queries.

Hours & Rota

24 hours per week - Part Time

Duty operates on a two-week rota:

• Week 1
  • Monday - 09:00-17:30
  • Tuesday - 09:00-17:30
  • Saturday - 09:00-17:30
• Week 2
  • Tuesday - 09:00-17:30
  • Wednesday - 09:00-17:30
  • Thursday - 09:00-17:30
