Optometrist - Part Time - 32 Hours per Week

£49,400 - £62,900 Full-Time Equivalent, depending on experience

We're currently recruiting for a qualified Optometrist to join a well-established and forward-thinking optical team in the Winsford area.

The Role

As an Optometrist, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the wider optical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive eye examinations and excellent patient careScreening and monitoring patientsSupporting the delivery of extended eye care servicesMaintaining high clinical and operational standardsCoaching and supporting the wider optical teamContributing to the development of new and enhanced patient servicesWorking closely with the Optical Manager and wider department team

You'll receive comprehensive professional development and training, including a strong CPD programme and protected time to complete additional accreditations, where required. Relevant training and accreditation are fully funded and supported.

You’ll also have access to in-store, regional and central support teams, ensuring expert guidance is available for both clinical and service-related queries.

Hours & Rota

32 hours per week - Part Time

The role operates on a four-week rota:

Weeks 1, 2 & 3

• Monday - 09:00-17:30
• Thursday - 09:00-17:30
• Friday - 09:00-17:30
• Saturday - 09:00-17:30

Week 4

• Monday - 09:00-17:30
• Tuesday - 09:00-17:30
• Thursday - 09:00-17:30
• Friday - 09:00-17:30

This role offers a consistent four-day working pattern, with a regular three-day weekend every fourth week, making it an attractive option for an Optometrist looking for greater flexibility and work-life balance.

About You

We're looking for an Optometrist who combines strong clinical skills with a genuine passion for patient care and customer service.

You'll have:

• Full GOC registration
• NHS performer registration with your relevant area team or health board
• MECs or WECs accreditation, or a willingness to achieve the relevant accreditation within 12 months - fully funded and supported
• A commitment to maintaining your statutory CPD requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for delivering high standards of clinical care
