Job summary

Boots Opticians in the United Kingdom is seeking a Retail Assistant to be the first and last point of contact for customers on the shop floor, building relationships by listening to their needs and guiding them to eyewear solutions.

You will take part in the 'Step Into Optics' training programme, support eye tests and pre-screening, and handle dispensing, repairs and aftercare. This role reports to the store manager and offers engaging training and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
• Experience in retail or clinical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the shop floor to find eyewear and services.
• Participate in pre-screening activities and dispensing processes.
• Provide aftercare support and handle repairs/adjustments.
• Complete operational and administrative tasks related to dispensing prescriptions.
