Job summary

Vision Express UK LTD (Westgate) is offering an 18-month Optical Apprentice program. You will gain a Level 3 Optical Assistant qualification while receiving comprehensive training and support, taking on real responsibilities in-store.

You will help customers select eyewear, perform fittings and basic eye screening tasks, and contribute to a positive, service-driven environment with guidance from management and the apprenticeship team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Not be engaged in full or part-time education.
• Have GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Possess confidence, passion, and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate teamwork and excellent customer service skills.
• Be willing to work between 35 and 38.75 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assist customers to find eyewear that suits their needs.
• Measure and adjust frames for comfort and fit.
• Explain frame features in customer-friendly language.
• Perform pre-screening tasks and NHS paperwork.
• Process payments and order prescriptions.
