IC Resources is seeking an Optical Engineer to focus on laser communication systems in Oxford. This onsite position involves optical design and assembly integration tasks, providing an opportunity to work across R&D, testing, and system development.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in defining requirements, optical design using Zemax, and practical lab skills with lasers and optical systems. Responsibilities include designing optical sub-systems, conducting trade-offs, and supporting field trials.

Formación

• Experience defining requirements and performing trade studies for optical systems.
• Strong optical design experience using Zemax or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with lasers, detectors, modulators and fibre/free‑space optics.

Responsabilidades

• Design optical and photonic sub-systems for laser communication applications.
• Define system requirements and perform trade‑off analysis between performance and cost.
• Conduct breadboard testing to validate simulation results.
