Job summary

Cubitts Marylebone is seeking an enthusiastic Optical Associate to welcome customers, guide them through frame and lens choices, and bring our brand to life with warmth and expertise.

You will dispense prescription lenses, adjust frames, keep the store organized, and uphold GDPR and patient confidentiality. Previous customer-facing experience helps; optical experience is a bonus.

Contract: Permanent, 16 hours per week; salary £13.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Proactive and well-organised with an eye for detail.
• Interest in spectacles and our brand values.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service at every stage of the customer journey.
• Communicate Cubitts brand story, mission and values.
• Assist with frame and lens selection, offering expert advice.
• Accurately dispense prescription and non-prescription lenses.
• Perform frame adjustments and basic repairs.
• Introduce customers to our Made to Measure service.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented store environment.
• Follow GDPR and patient confidentiality guidelines.
• Collaborate with team and other departments.
