Job summary

Zest Business Group is seeking an Optical Assistant to join the head office team near Bury, Greater Manchester. The role focuses on supporting customers with frame and lens choices, prescriptions and aftercare from the online team rather than a shop floor.

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 DOE
Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week | Full or Part Time

The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll join the customer service team and use your optical knowledge to support customers with everything from frame and lens selection through to prescriptions, orders and aftercare.

Rather than working on the shop floor, you’ll support customers from the company’s modern head office via email, live chat and telephone.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing advice on prescription lenses, frames and sunglasses
• Supporting customers with frame and lens selection

About You

We’re looking for somebody with previous experience working as an Optical Assistant who is confident using their optical knowledge in a customer-focused environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous Optical Assistant experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence communicating with customers by phone, email and live chat
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
