Job summary

Inspired Selections in Sheffield is seeking an Optical Assistant to join a respected independent optical business with well-established practices across the city.

This hands-on role covers dispensing, pre-screening, frame fittings and lens advice, with patient care at the heart of the journey; you’ll also support reception and contribute to business growth. Minimum 12 months’ optics experience required.

• Experience in dispensing and pre-screening.
• Strong customer service and sales focus with excellent patient care.

Salary: up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full time | 37.5 hours per week – No Sundays

Location: Sheffield

This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll be involved in all aspects of the patient journey, offering plenty of autonomy, responsibility, and opportunity to make an impact.

Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.
