Job summary

Specsavers in the United Kingdom is seeking an Optical Assistant to be the friendly face in our store. If you have previous optical experience, you’ll understand our products and services and help customers find the right eyewear.

This role offers a busy, welcoming environment with extensive training and development opportunities. We expect 40 hours per week, including weekends, and a supportive team ready to help you progress into management.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience in a retail or clinical setting.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Team-focused and able to communicate clearly with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and support in the store.
• Utilise optical knowledge to assist customers with eyewear selections and basic dispensing.

We'd love for the right candidate to join us and progress, with support, into Management too!
