Job summary

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a replacement, full-time Specialty Doctor post in ophthalmology. The successful applicant must have extensive experience in general ophthalmology, primary care and emergency ophthalmology, with previous experience in medical retina care also essential.

There is no on-call commitment. The job plan includes 10 PA with 1 SPA/revalidation session, an admin session on alternating weeks, 1 emergency clinic session and 6 subspecialty outpatient

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in general ophthalmology.
• Experience in primary care and emergency ophthalmology.
• Previous experience in medical retina care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Admin session on alternating weeks.
• 1 SPA session.
• 1 Rapid Eye Service clinic session.
• 6 subspecialty outpatient clinics, including 3+ treatment clinics (Retinal or Macular Laser / Intravitreal injection).
• 1 in 8 Friday pm Rapid Eye Service roster.
