Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a full-time Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop subspecialty skills within a trusted NHS eye care program.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Experience in managing elective outpatient caseloads.
• Experience supervising junior doctors.
• Good written and verbal communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Care: See new and follow-up patients in general ophthalmology clinics.
• Emergency Care: Participate in treating emergency eye patients in the emergency eye clinic during normal working hours.
• Audit & Education: Participate actively in clinical audit and educational activities within the department and across the Trust.
• Patient Standards: Demonstrate a determination to meet and exceed the standards of the NHS Patients Charter and the Trust values.
