Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust in Bath is seeking an experienced Specialist Optometrist to join the Eye Unit.

You will deliver a broad range of core and specialist services, including glaucoma and medical retina clinics, and may deputise for the Head Optometrist when needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Optometrist with GOC registration.
• Higher qualifications in glaucoma or related specialism are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex cases independently as a senior clinician.
• Provide clinical advice and expert opinion to optometric and medical colleagues; supervise students and staff.
• Play a pivotal role in delivering optometry services across the Trust.
