Ideal candidates are qualified Scrub Practitioners or ODPs with ophthalmic experience, HCPC/NMC registration, and ILS certification. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• HCPC or NMC Registration (RGN/ODP).
• Minimum of 6 months UK based Operating Theatre experience.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Immediate Life Support (ILS) / Paediatric ILS.
• Mentoring or teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre, ensure instruments and materials are sterile and ready.
• Set up instrument trays, check equipment, maintain sterility throughout procedure.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and handling specimens.
• Monitor sterile field and respond to equipment issues or workflow changes.
• Maintain accurate surgical counts before, during, and after procedures.
• Support post-operative duties including decontamination and documentation.
