Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare is seeking an experienced Scrub nurse to join our dedicated ophthalmic team. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance in the operating theatre and may assist with peri-operative care within the surgical and refractive suite.

The role requires current NMC/ODP registration, ophthalmology theatre experience, and strong IT skills. We offer funded training, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive environment focused on career development.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or ODP with current NMC/ODP status.
• Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification.
• At least 1 year of ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.
• Strong IT skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Awareness of NMC Code of Conduct and CQC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of registered healthcare duties under supervision, maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
• Anticipate surgical team needs by providing instruments and equipment.
• Ensure proper disposal, decontamination and sterilisation of reusable equipment.
• Complete documentation for traceability and patient care records.
