Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare is seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse to join our dedicated team in the ophthalmic surgical pathway. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, with potential peri-operative and post-operative duties in our hospital setting.

The role requires 1+ year ophthalmology surgical theatre experience, GNM/ODP registration, and proficiency with Office software.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
• Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification.
• One year ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a full range of registered healthcare duties with the surgical team, maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team, providing instruments and equipment as required.
• Ensure correct disposal and decontamination of surgical equipment; complete traceability documentation.
