Job summary

Aspion is recruiting for an Operator / Sales Support Coordinator at its Crosby, Liverpool base. The role focuses on supporting transport bookings, preparing quotations, and keeping customers updated on deliveries, while working closely with Account Managers, drivers and partners to ensure on-time service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in transport administration or logistics coordination, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration, logistics coordination or customer service advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive in following up quotations and customer enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers with daily transport bookings and enquiries.
• Prepare and send transport quotations and follow up to secure bookings.
• Maintain regular client communication with ETA updates.
• Liaise with drivers and partners to monitor deliveries.
• Inform customers of delays or changes and confirm deliveries.
• Obtain PODs and send to customers promptly.
• Input bookings, rates and shipment details into internal systems.
• Handle calls and emails, resolving enquiries efficiently.
• Maintain transport records and assist with invoicing and paperwork.
• Build strong customer relationships through reliable service.

Salary: £28,000-£31,000 + Quarterly Team Bonus

Hours: 8:30AM-5PM Monday-Friday

The Role

If so, we are recruiting for an Operator / Sales Support Coordinator to join an Independent transport and logistics business expanding locally in Liverpool.

This is a busy, customer-focused role involving daily communication with clients, coordinating transport bookings, preparing quotations and keeping customers updated on their deliveries.

The successful candidate will work closely with Account Managers, drivers and transport partners to ensure bookings are managed efficiently and customers receive a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers with daily transport bookings, customer enquiries and general administration.
• Prepare and send transport quotations, following up with customers to secure bookings.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing accurate ETAs and delivery updates.
• Liaise with drivers and transport partners to monitor deliveries and ensure shipments are running on schedule.
• Keep customers informed of any delays, changes or delivery confirmations.
• Obtain proof of delivery (PODs) and ensure these are sent to customers promptly.
• Accurately input transport bookings, rates and shipment details onto internal systems.
• Handle incoming calls and emails, resolving customer enquiries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate transport records and assist with invoicing and delivery paperwork.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and reliable service.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in transport administration, logistics coordination or customer service would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
• Confident dealing with customers and providing regular updates.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and confident using computer systems.
• A proactive approach to following up quotations and customer enquiries.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
