Job summary

Sharpsmart is seeking personnel for night shift roles in a production/warehouse setting. You will check in containers, weigh waste, operate a forklift to load an autoclave, and ensure accurate paperwork while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Candidates should have warehouse experience, strong teamwork, good communication, and problem-solving abilities. The role offers overtime opportunities and non-seasonal, stable employment within healthcare services.

What will you be doing?

• Checking in containers and checking paperwork
• Moving/unloading specific waste containers
• Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Lifting and pushing carts
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
• General housekeeping
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment with experience of working in a fast paced position. Team work is a huge part of this role and you must be able to communicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed. We are looking for an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
