Job summary

Sharpsmart UK, part of Daniels Health, seeks a warehouse operative in West Yorkshire to join our production team. You will check in containers, move waste, operate a forklift, weigh containers, and load an autoclave.

We offer consistent hours (6am-4pm, Mon-Fri), a salary of £29,741.40, private healthcare and dental care, and an employee benefits scheme supporting development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production/warehouse environment.

• Able to think through practical problems and adapt to varying tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check in containers and paperwork.
• Move/unload waste containers.
• Operate a forklift to load an autoclave.
• Weigh incoming sharps and RM waste containers on the weighbridge.
• Load/operate the autoclave machine.
• Lift and push carts.
• Attend to paperwork and general housekeeping.

What will you be doing?

• Checking in containers and checking paperwork
• Moving/unloading specific waste containers
• Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Lifting and pushing carts
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
• General housekeeping
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment with experience of working in a fast paced position. Team work is a huge part of this role and you must be able to communicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed. We are looking for an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
