Job summary

Together is seeking an Operational Trainer to support onboarding and development across our Operations teams. You will ensure new colleagues gain essential technical knowledge and skills using a blended 70:20:10 approach, contributing to colleague academies and the Together framework.

You will monitor performance, provide feedback, and collaborate with Risk, Central Talent and Development, HR, recruitment, and operations to improve training strategies and outcomes for our growing UK-wide teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivering training in financial services or regulated environments.
• Strong onboarding and adult learning principles.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and provide actionable feedback.
• Experience designing training materials and programmes.
• Collaborative mindset with stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of the 70:20:10 model in learning journeys.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onboarding programmes for new colleagues.
• Ensure new recruits understand business processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
• Support individuals in achieving role competence within agreed timeframes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and run colleague academies aligning to the Together framework.
• Deliver structured training to cohorts, reinforcing learning via the 70:20:10 model.
• Continuously improve content based on feedback and priorities.
• Track progress and performance of new recruits during onboarding and academy phases.
• Provide coaching or additional support where required.
• Provide insights to recruitment to enhance future hiring decisions.
• Work with team leaders, HR, and recruitment to align training with business goals.
• Act as a point of contact for training queries and support.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
