Job summary

Evri in Basildon is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient throughput within the operation's sortation areas, working on a night shift. The role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to keep parcels moving accurately to customers.

The position is permanent, 45 hours per week, with nights from Tuesday to Saturday; salary around £32,000. We value diverse, inclusive teams and offer a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in a comparable or acting supervisory role.
• Knowledge of resource management and deployment.
• Excellent communicator able to provide, receive and implement operational information and instruction.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and reconcile warehouse deliveries and hold bays.
• Manage bulk/return deliveries with C&D and LGV fleet.
• Support bulk collection customer planning.
• Ensure LGV transport rules and regulations are followed.
• Deploy operational resources effectively to meet area requirements.
• Achieve or exceed KPI targets per area requirements.
• Attend training and personal development courses as arranged.

What you’ll do

This role will ensure the safe and efficient throughput of traffic within the various sortation areas of the operation in accordance with the individual work area requirements. You will need a strong work ethic and real attention to detail. It’s a physical job, in a busy warehouse hub that’s always working at full speed, so you’ll be on the go throughout your shift. Whatever task you’re performing, your attention to detail will make sure every parcel gets to its customer right on time.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Supervision & reconciliation of warehouse (deliveries,Holdbayetc)
• Efficient Management of any bulk/return deliveries with C&D and LGV fleet
• Support Bulk Collection Customer Planning
• Support LGV Transport rules & regulations
• Effective deployment of all operational resourcein accordance withthe work area requirements
• EnsureKPI targets are achieved or exceededin accordance withthe work arearequirements
• Attend training and personal development courses asarranged
