Job summary

Evri Group in Basildon is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the night shift in a busy warehouse hub. You will ensure the safe and efficient throughput of traffic within sortation areas, with a strong focus on attention to detail to get every parcel to the customer on time.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity, with knowledge of resource deployment and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in a comparable or acting supervisory role
• Knowledge of resource management and deployment
• Excellent communicator able to provide, receive and implement operational information and instruction

Responsibilities

• Supervision & reconciliation of warehouse deliveries and hold bays
• Efficient management of bulk/return deliveries with the fleet
• Support Bulk Collection Customer Planning
• Support LGV Transport rules & regulations
• Deployment of operational resources according to work area requirements
• Ensure KPI targets are achieved or exceeded
• Attend training and personal development courses as arranged

Position: Operations Supervisor

Contract Type: Permanent – 45 hours

Location: Basildon

Shift: Nights / Monday-Friday

What you’ll do:

This role will ensure the safe and efficient throughput of traffic within the various sortation areas of the operation in accordance with the individual work area requirements. You will need a strong work ethic and real attention to detail. It’s a physical job, in a busy warehouse hub that’s always working at full speed, so you’ll be on the go throughout your shift. Whatever task you’re performing, your attention to detail will make sure every parcel gets to its customer right on time.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Supervision & reconciliation of warehouse (deliveries,Holdbayetc)
• Efficient Management of any bulk/return deliveries with C&D and LGV fleet
• Support Bulk Collection Customer Planning
• Support LGV Transport rules & regulations
• Effective deployment of all operational resourcein accordance withthe work area requirements
• EnsureKPI targets are achieved or exceededin accordance withthe work arearequirements
• Attend training and personal development courses asarranged
