Our Shift Manager will proactively manage the daily operation, with responsibility for safety, cost, quality, compliance, and people KPIs – in line with company, legal, and airline standards. To be actively involved and maintain an effective and productive team focused on results and developing effective customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities of a Shift Manager:

  • Maintain the highest standards in quality, food safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety.
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, and delays to determine root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure work is completed according to the daily schedule, costs are within targets, and escalate issues to the Operations Manager when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor to manage rosters, work schedules, and team effectiveness fairly and transparently.
  • Manage material, product, and related costs within budget and deadlines.
  • Manage targets and demonstrate their impact on business performance; champion change initiatives and improvements with OPS Ex.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all legislation, company policies, and compliance standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the team; handle employee relations issues per company policy.

  • Experience in people management, including performance, holidays, rosters, and absence management.

  • Good organizational skills and flexibility.
