Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the BlueBear initiative in Bedfordshire, supporting governance, compliance, trials and business coordination across the organisation.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage compliance areas (export control, health & safety, security) and develop KPIs aligned with Saab UK's strategic plan. National Security Vetting clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills and ability to drive change across an organisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience implementing effective change initiatives.
• Proven experience managing risks and applying risk management policies including business continuity.
• Experience implementing Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• ISO 27001 knowledge is desirable.
• Awareness of UK export control, health & safety and environmental management.
• Experience in the defence sector and UK MOD is desirable.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level required or achievable.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to achieve high standards.
• Be the focal point for process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate compliance across export controls, health & safety and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture customer feedback and implement changes to improve operations.
• Communicate Operational Excellence across the organisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activity.
• Act as Risk and Opportunity Co-ordinator and lead business continuity activities.
• Coordinate new compliance standards and business tools implementation.
• Capture feedback to drive improvements and deliver training on continuous improvement.
