Job summary

Saab UK, part of Scandinavia's defence group, is seeking an Operations Manager to drive governance, compliance, trials, and coordination at BlueBear in Bedfordshire. You will lead process standardisation, risk and business continuity, and KPI tracking to support our strategic plan, with extensive stakeholder engagement across the organisation.

National Security Vetting clearance is required; SC level clearance or the ability to gain it.

Qualifications

Proven leadership and change-management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Motivated self-starter with minimal supervision.
Experience implementing quality management systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
Knowledge of export controls, health & safety and environmental management.
Experience in defence industry or MOD desirable.
Must hold or be able to obtain SC clearance (National Security Vetting).

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to high standards.
Lead process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
Coordinate export control, health & safety, and security compliance.
Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
Capture customer feedback and communicate improvements.
Promote Operational Excellence across the organisation.
Coordinate internal and external audit activity.
Act as Risk and Opportunity Co-ordinator and lead business continuity activities.
Coordinate implementation of new compliance standards and tools.
Support project activity and manage the Facility Coordinator duties.
