Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Operations Manager for the BlueBear operation in Bedfordshire to implement governance, compliance, trials and business coordination. You will drive continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and cross-functional coordination to integrate with Saab UK.

The role requires proven leadership, ISO quality and security awareness, and NSV clearance to SC level or the ability to obtain it. You will liaise across export control, H&S, and enviro management while leading audits and training.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and change implementation experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
• Experience with ISO 27001 desirable.
• Awareness of export control, H&S and environmental management.
• Experience in defence industry and UK MOD desirable.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level required or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to undergo workforce screening including Baseline checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to high standards.
• Lead process standardisation and compliance with the organisation's quality management system.
• Coordinate export control, health & safety, and security with Saab UK functions.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Implement processes for capturing customer feedback and drive change.
• Communicate Operational Excellence across the organisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activity.
• Act as Risk and Opportunity Coordinator and lead BCM activities.
• Coordinate export control compliance with adequate resources and processes.
• Implement new compliance standards and business tools.
• Capture internal feedback to drive continuous improvements.
• Deliver internal training on continuous improvement.
