Role Purpose

This role has full responsibility for the safety, financial, leadership, and operational performance of the Station. The post holder is expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders, including customers, airport authorities, and third-party suppliers. Additionally, will lead and manage the performance and development of direct reports, including supervisors, operators, allocators, and administrators.

As part of the wider management team, the post holder will contribute to and deliver our customer, HSE, and commercial business plans.

What you will be doing

  1. Manage the safety and operational performance of the station, including ITP operations.
  2. Develop, contribute to, and agree on service delivery standards internally and externally.
  3. Monitor and report on performance against standards and implement corrective actions to meet customer requirements.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, accidents, and near-misses per company and customer requirements.
  5. Ensure adherence to JIG Standards and report/address as appropriate.
  6. Maintain compliance with customer and company HSSE principles.
  7. Demonstrate experience in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of operations according to JIG, Company, and HSSE requirements, including inspections with supervisors and operators.
  9. Apply company HR policies, manage employee relations, and oversee recruitment of new personnel.
  10. Assist with budget preparation and manage purchase orders to suppliers and contractors.
  11. Provide daily operational and administrative support for safe and efficient site operations.
  12. Ensure engineering and maintenance works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  13. Identify training needs related to major accident hazard prevention, control, and mitigation.
  14. Ensure all personnel, contractors, and external parties involved in managing major accident hazards are well-informed.

What we are looking for

  • Working knowledge of general business management.
  • Demonstrable experience in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
  • Significant experience in an Aviation Fuels Operational Management position.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners, airport authorities, and suppliers.
  • Extensive team leadership and development experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on safety.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of Fuels Technical Service and Fuels Supply/Distribution Logistics.
  • Experience with product handling and control.
  • Experience in Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management.
